Fairway Declaration
Vessels with the purpose to load or unload cargo or passengers, must submit a fairway declaration. The fairway declaration must be submitted electronically via MSW Reportal.
Credit Agreement
In order to register fairway declarations in MSW Reportal, a credit agreement with the Swedish Maritime Administration must be signed. The form "Agreement on declarations of fairway dues" (see below) should be completed, signed, and sent in two copies to the Swedish Maritime Administration. Address: Swedish Maritime Administration, 601 78 Norrköping.
Once credit is granted, the company that signed the agreement becomes liable for the payment of the fairway declarations reported by the users associated with the company.
What is my responsibility?
As a user/information provider, you are responsible for providing correct data according to the applicable regulations for fairway dues. When you submit a final fairway declaration in MSW Reportal, the company you are associated with assumes payment responsibility for the fairway declaration. You, as the user/information provider, are responsible for checking the response messages in MSW Reportal confirming that the Swedish Maritime Administration has received your fairway declaration. You are also responsible for ensuring that the information reported is synchronized with the Swedish Maritime Administration's system. This applies when you have contacted the Swedish Maritime Administration through other channels and made changes to your fairway declaration, which will not automatically update in MSW Reportal.
